This device is one of the better handheld CB Radios out there for the money. Midland really thought of almost everything when they designed this.  It is very versatile, portable, and programmable.

The radio runs only on six batteries instead of ten like some other comparable CB Radios.  Not only does it run on fewer batteries, but there is also a battery life extender feature which means less of a chance of your radio dying on you when you need it most. Its’ versatility lies in the ability to use it during hikes as a walkie talkie or to plug it into your car’s cigarette plug and use it as a mobile radio. It is easy to disconnect and store away. This model automatically checks all channels for activity and there’s instant access to the national weather radio channel and emergency channel 9.
